Important notes about contributing to Happyesque

Before you start sending us that pres release with high-resolution images of your latest cool shop, please take some time to read these guidelines. Following these little guides will greatly help the workload of our Happyesque editors.

LENGTH OF WRITINGS

An absolute maximum of 1500 words please. If you HAVE to send us a 10,000 words dissertation, please break it up into manageable chapters/sections. And please include images to accompany your write-up

IMAGES
Please don’t send us Hi-res images. The web isn’t made for that. But at the same time, please don’t send us 50px x 50px images either. Images with a width of 1500px works best for us.

PRESS RELEASES
Only send it to us if your press release is:

relevant to the upcoming themes
about something really really brilliant/important
beautifully designed

If not, we will feed it to the dogs.

PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED WORK
We prefer original work. We will eagerly take a look at work that has been overlooked by others. But previously published works won’t cut it for us.

PAYMENT
There will likely be none. But we will give you recognition where deserved and shower you with prayers of good health, wealth and love. ( Note: The editors aren’t paid either. )

FORMATTING
No PDFs. Jpegs, Word Documents and Txt files are cool with us. Please do not use elaborate formatting as it will drive our editors crazy. Not to mention, most of it will be stripped away and re-designed by our team anyway.

DATELINE
We schedule our articles to be published on every SUNDAY. ( Yes, we publish weekly but we have a monthly theme) Send us your materials by FRIDAY to make it in time for this week’s edition. If you miss it, then aim for next week. If in doubt, email the editors.
